The beauty and health benefits of Aloe Vera are countless! I remember reading in Marie Claire that the Sanskrit name for Aloe Vera is “kumari”, which means ‘princess’, attesting to its ability to help you maintain youthful beauty and a healthy glow. Sounds amazing, right?

My fave form of Aloe Vera is the pure Aloe Vera Gel from “Forever Living”

I came across this brand a couple of years ago, when I was undergoing chemo and started changing my life towards organic foods and supplements. I did a lot of research into the health benefits of Aloe Vera, and I was on a mission to try the purest form of it.

I had tried sooo many various brands as well as aloe capsules, juices, tablets, gels etc. After a recommendation from a friend, I tried Forever Living’s “Aloe Vera Gel”, which was actually composed of the inner leaf gel, as opposed to the outer leaf (which a lot of high street health shops sell!). It is a thick pure gel which you drink, as opposed to the diluted juice-type ones I had been used to . Therefore, the aloe is more potent and the benefits even more obvious!

It is perfect for anyone and everyone, and I am on a health mission to introduce this amazing product to all my friends and family.

In a nutshell, the main benefits of using the gel are:

Beauty Fave! Coconut Body Milk from ECO by Sonya

So, it’s all happening! I made it to the finish line and I am now nine months preggers! Our son is due any day now and it’s an amazingggg feeling!!

I have been pampering myself in the lead up to my birth, as I know once our little prince arrives, I probably won’t have as much time for pampering in those first few weeks!

I have been keeping my skincare very simple these days, and I have gone back to my beloved coconut oil!!! I have literally been smothering my whole body in it every night, and happy to report… No stretch marks!

I literally love the benefits of coco on skin and thought I wouldn’t trade my oil for anything…. until I used the Coconut Body Milk from Eco by Sonya.

All I can say is…  Omg!  Im already obsessed and it’s been two days. As a beauty blogger, that is a rare and amazing thing, as I am usually so fussy with which products I actually recommend to my readers. I tend to try them over much longer times before posting unless I am super impressed!

The milk melts into your skin like butter and leaves you feeling baby soft (with no heavy greasy feeling!). This is definitely going to be my must-have for after showering, and in between tanning applications! It’s a mix of natural coconut, aloe vera, jojoba and macadamia and is 100% natural.

I usually find with natural creams that u really need to rub them into the skin for a long time till they sink in,  but I was pleasantly surprised at how well this one absorbs. Its texture is in between a cream and a milk; I love that it’s not super runny or thick.

I’ll be honest, I was expecting the milk to smell stronger and more “coconutty” but as it is natural- the smell is not very strong BUT once it’s on your skin, it develops into a really nice and subtle aroma. Most importantly, all the ingredients provide moisture, soothe the skin and leave your body soft and beautiful!

The bottle comes in a 500ml size with a pump that makes application easy- peasy.

I havent posted in a while, but I’m so happy I waited until I had something amazing to share with u guys!!

Watch this space as I’ll be trying more from this brand including their famous organic tanning products.

I am also eyeing up the coco and mint body wash to compliment this yummy body milk…..! :))

Soooo, I’m trying this new thing where I want to start using ALL natural….well everything!! I am slowly making the transition and trying to find new alternatives that I love. (I’m talking everything from skincare, toothpaste and even deodorant!)

I’ve always been attracted more to natural foods/skincare, but right now I want to completely cut out the chemicals and give my body and skin a break!

Right now I am loving Dr Bronner’s Magic Soaps! They are organic and compleeeeetely free of any harsh chemicals. The main base ingredient in most of their soaps is organic coconut oil (which is my weakness) and hemp oil. They are then each infused with different essential oils that carry different properties.

I am using the Lavender Liquid Soap for my body & the Tea Tree Bar Soap for my  face. I have to say… they foam like a dream!!! Especially considering there are no sulphates! I actually think these foam better than some of my natural shower gels from Lush and Fresh Line Cosmetics.

They even have an unscented “baby-mild” formula which replaces the natural fragrance with olive oil for extra moisture!  They actually leave your skin soft and not uncomfortably tight like a lot of soaps! These are definitely my fave soaps I have EVER tried and I will report back as to whether the tea tree soap keeps my skin clear 🙂

Im dying to try the rest of them!! They actually say 18-uses-in 1 as you can use these soaps as laundry detergent, shampoo, body wash, face wash etc etc!

Fresh Faced (Mask) Beauty!

Now for those of you that haven’t yet visited Lush Cosmetics, you are seriously deprived of natural-beauty goodness!

As many of you know I adore home-made beauty products-both making them myself & purchasing them!

Lush is absolutely my go-to brand for a natural beauty fix and I had to share my favouriteeee Lush product with you beauties!

Their fresh face masks are fabulous!! I was purchasing my normal “Ayesha” face mask from Lush (which is great for evening out skin tone) when I noticed “The Sacred Truth” mask. This was the perfect combination of anti-aging and tightening ingredients so I picked one up for my mum. Little did I know how much I would LOVE this. My mum was raving about this for weeks after I had given it to her.

She said her skin felt so fresh and firm! I just had to try for myself.

After using it only once, I noticed my skin had an instant tightening and brightening effect! My face had never felt so clean before! It was true love! Now I continue buying this wherever I can. The star ingredient in this mask has to be the Papaya.

I love to rub this fruit all over my face and leave on for 5 mins as there are natural AHA’s (alpha-hydroxy acids) which exfoliate the skin and provide anti-aging benefits. Lush have mixed the goodness of papaya with other gorgeous skin-feeding ingredients such as fresh free range eggs (benefits mentioned in my brighten up with egg-whites post), virgin coco oil, green tea powder, bee pollen, fresh wheatgrass, rose lavender and MANY more !

I just can’t get enough of this!

The freshness of this product is unreal, you must keep all their masks refrigerated and each have an expiry date to guarantee the freshness as well as a little picture of the Lush member of staff that hand-created each item. This is a great personal touch!
