There is no denying  it-Kate Middleton is stunning and a true natural beauty! She emerged post-baby with suuuuch a gorgeous peachy glow! She made giving birth look easy-peasy beautiful!

How did she do this?!?!? What is her secret?

It’s seaweed facials!!

Fresh Faced (Mask) Beauty!

Now for those of you that haven’t yet visited Lush Cosmetics, you are seriously deprived of natural-beauty goodness!

As many of you know I adore home-made beauty products-both making them myself & purchasing them!

Lush is absolutely my go-to brand for a natural beauty fix and I had to share my favouriteeee Lush product with you beauties!

Their fresh face masks are fabulous!! I was purchasing my normal “Ayesha” face mask from Lush (which is great for evening out skin tone) when I noticed “The Sacred Truth” mask. This was the perfect combination of anti-aging and tightening ingredients so I picked one up for my mum. Little did I know how much I would LOVE this. My mum was raving about this for weeks after I had given it to her.

She said her skin felt so fresh and firm! I just had to try for myself.

After using it only once, I noticed my skin had an instant tightening and brightening effect! My face had never felt so clean before! It was true love! Now I continue buying this wherever I can. The star ingredient in this mask has to be the Papaya.

I love to rub this fruit all over my face and leave on for 5 mins as there are natural AHA’s (alpha-hydroxy acids) which exfoliate the skin and provide anti-aging benefits. Lush have mixed the goodness of papaya with other gorgeous skin-feeding ingredients such as fresh free range eggs (benefits mentioned in my brighten up with egg-whites post), virgin coco oil, green tea powder, bee pollen, fresh wheatgrass, rose lavender and MANY more !

I just can’t get enough of this!

The freshness of this product is unreal, you must keep all their masks refrigerated and each have an expiry date to guarantee the freshness as well as a little picture of the Lush member of staff that hand-created each item. This is a great personal touch!

Brighten Up Your Complexion With Egg Whites!

Everybody is always asking me what my favourite beauty products are.
The truth?

The ones I make at home!!

Natural remedies are soo my thing. I do a LOT of research and reading into what beautifying properties different natural ingredients are good for.

Then, I turn into science geek mode and try to see what amazing concoctions I can come up with! Breaking-Bad style 🙂 hehe

My other half finds it so amusing to see what I will come up with next, and although many of the things I do may look quite funny… It works!

Here’s one of my latest favourites.

Brightening, Whitening Face Mask

This home-made mask is made with egg-whites which are rich in minerals, vitamins & protein. Egg whites are super nourishing and anti aging! When left on the skin, it is known to exfoliate, cleanse and brighten the complexion! The lemon juice evens-out skin tone and can even lighten dark marks or scars. Cinnamon is a life saver for clearing up any acne so I always try to add a little in my face masks just to add a purifying benefit.

Here’s how I make my mask:

Take a whole egg (organic preferably), crack open and remove the egg white. Use a fork or a whipping utensil to whip it into a foam texture.

Then add a teaspoon of organic plain yoghurt, a teaspoon of lemon juice and half a teaspoon of cinnamon powder (GREAT for clearing skin).

Mix together a little bit and pop it in the fridge for 5 mins.

Scrub on the face in circular motions and keep on the face for 10 minutes for the best benefit!

Rinse off with warm water, and follow with your fave moisturiser. You will see your skin is glowing!

I recommend doing this before an event for super tight, radiant skin!

It’s no secret that I love face scrubs! This relates to the fact that I am a teeeny bit of a clean-freak and scrubs just make your face feel super-duper clean and polished!
Exfoliating is something allllll dermatologists and beauty experts rave about because of the importance for healthy,fresh and glowing skin!
On my latest trip to Selfridges, I picked up ” MyChelle Fruit Enzme Scrub” and to be honest….I didn’t have mega high expectations of this.
I always try to choose natural beauty products over any other. I especially like those packed with super-active beautifying ingredients, however natural brands do not always deliver in this department. I like to see & feel the difference of using a product and I am soo happy I found this one.
It was one of those “where has this been all my life?!” kinda experiences.
This product is packed with pectin (fruit enzymes) which are self-dissolving and remove dead skin cells and dirt deep within your pores. Bamboo stem power is another amazing ingredient that prevents future breakouts and jojoba spheres soften skin & allow the enzymes to reach deeper into pores.
The directions say to leave this on for 3-5 minutes for the best benefits.
You can SEE & feel the results instantly but with more uses your skin tone will become so even and clear.
The Result: Baby soft skin & my makeup applies like a dream!

It wasn’t until I used this several times that I really fell in love with it and noticed my skin glowing!

What’s even MORE special is that it is super affordable and suitable for all skin types (especially good for combination skin!).
I will definitely be using this from now on.
